Help find the right space for a scooter shop in Buffalo.

Scooters can be spotted all over the city these days. You see them parked in front of all sorts of coffee/tea houses, bistros, and shops.

There are even scooter rallies and scooter clubs. The array of scooters that can be seen zipping down Elmwood Avenue is pretty neat. One can see everything from vintage Vespas to modern day Mopeds.

A couple days ago I mentioned a retail space on Elmwood that the local business community would like to see converted into viable business. One of the comments at the end of the post struck me as not only exciting, but also something that Buffalo Rising readers might be able to help with. The comment was submitted by Buffalo66 Scootershop, and in it, he/she expressed an interest in finding a location for a scooter shop. Obviously there is a need for one in the area, and it seems that finding the right space has been difficult for this person. Buffalorox had a good suggestion; why not broaden the search into other areas of town? He also pointed out a space on Hertel that might fit the bill. We think that having a scooter shop in the city would be fantastic. So we were hoping that some other people out there might have additional thoughts as to where an ideal space might be for a scooter shop. The space would probably require some sort of showroom window, as scooters are very eye catching. There would also have to be some sort of a space for servicing Buffalo’s growing scooter community. These days, with the price of gas skyrocketing, wouldn't it be nice to have a shop dedicated to vehicles that promote fuel efficiency? So, if you know of any hidden (or not so hidden) ideal spaces, let us know.
